It all finally came together for my brother John in Iowa! This is his biggest bow buck to date! I'm so proud of his patience & persistence against all of the odds & cold weather. I can't wait for his flight to return home so I can put my eyes & hands on this trophy myself! I will be especially honored to mount this one! Way to go!

Yesterday Morgan Rae Walker ended the day killing this stud buck & humongous hog! There's nothing like seeing these excited little girls & their Daddies sharing this experience & excited to tell the tale! The Walker family's girls showed out yesterday!

What a perfect morning for our oldest 2 girls, Kaley & Marianna, hunting on their great great grandfather's land using the guns their Papa Craig Walker bought them! I was privileged to hear both shots & help find them both!

Here are some of the many bucks dropped off this weekend. Special shout out goes to 14 year old Raelyn Lowery on her biggest buck ever! Congratulations also goes to Buddy Mann, John Eggers, William Brady, Brent Rowe, Ronnie Houston, Shane Murray, & Matthew Bedenbaugh! I do believe the beginning of the rut is on!

Weekend Update~ The BuckReport

Biggest buck of the weekend goes to Jack Walker! His words were perfect, so I copied them to share with you all: I’ve been deer hunting for 33 years and I killed my biggest buck to date opening afternoon. I honestly thought killing a 150 buck would be different. I thought it would feel different. I thought it would be the best thing ever! I thought only the best hunters kill the big bucks. Well let me tell ya after doing it that ain’t so. I almost have a hurt in my gut tha...t my little girl wasn’t with me and she couldn’t have been the one to pull the trigger. I’ve just realized the best part about deer hunting is time spent with your best buddies putting up deer stands, planting foodplots, mowing the roads, looking at trail camera pictures together, planning the hunt and making jokes about each other. It’s about watching my girls pick roots up out of foodplots, the Sunday afternoon rides to check cameras and put out corn with the girls. It’s about the sweet anticipation of that big buck walking out. It’s about time spent with family and friends. It’s about that first buddy you call when you make the shot or see a big buck and let him get by. Please don’t take deer hunting so dang serious! I’ve seen best friends and brothers relationships ruined over a dang deer! Cherish the times you get to spend with your family and friends in the woods because you never know when it will be your last. It’s not about the biggest or best buck. It’s about the biggest and best memories with those you love. See more
