1st Squadron, 16th U.S. Cavalry

On 19 February 2021, The Strike First Family had the opportunity to re-enlist an outstanding NCO. 1st Squadron 16th Cavalry SMO SSG Darity’s re-enlistment ceremony was held at Hastings Range during the ABOLC Gunnery with key personnel, and members of the Squadron Command team. The ceremony was limited to key personnel to ensure full compliance of COVID-19 guidelines and standards. ... - Strike First! Strike Hard!

On February 21st the Strike First Squadron had the opportunity to acknowledge and recognize SSG White and SGT Hamlin. SSG White has been an invaluable asset to the Troop during the transition of two Platoon Sergeants. Within a month of arriving at Ft. Benning, SSG White was tasked with quickly learning LOGPAC platoon functions and assuming PSG duties while the previous PSG PCS’d. Throughout his time as acting PSG, he demonstrated exceptional initiative, always going above an...d beyond, and becoming a master of his craft. In addition, he has taken the lead in several Troop initiatives including leading IO and VCE certification. In conjunction with BOSS and with oversight and guidance from CSM Shaiko, SGT Hamlin the facilities manager organized and coordinated an outdoor Super Bowl gathering for the Soldiers who occupy the barracks. The event was well attended and was a fantastic opportunity to increase morale, cohesion, and the spirits of the Troopers who live in the barracks. -Strike First! Strike Hard!
