And that's a wrap for another fun Pumpkin Day! Today our Village through Pre-First students dressed their farmer best and enjoyed games, a pumpkin patch, hayride, and petting zoo! They even got to pick out and decorate their ownspecial pumpkin. ... We were especially thankful for the beautiful weather to enjoy a fall celebration before the long weekend. Last night our community attended an evening of exciting and enlivening choral music featuring Treble Choir, Rising Voices, and Concert Choir on Bastian Center Stage conducted by Dr. Marcus Miller. It was both inspiring and magical to watch our talented choral students perform as the sun set over campus. What a night to remember! ... This past week @gacfootball received an unusual email with a video link that led to some surprising and incredible encouragement from across the country. The video contained messages from a high school coach, team athletes, and chaplain from Modesto, California. Its message was clear and poignant, especially in 2020: be grateful for what you have because you never know when it will be taken away. Recently High School chapel held their first annual Hispanic Heritage celebration honoring Latin culture. Through song, dance, interviews, and even a fun taste testing experiment, GAC students experienced a glimpse and learned more about the beauty, vibrance, and wonder of hispanic cultures around the world. Tia Graves is an integral part of GAC's athletic program. She serves as the head coach of our Girls' Varsity Soccer Team, and she serves as an assistant coach on our softball team.
