Out of reverence for the Infantry’s time-honored, hallowed tradition, we did not photograph or record the Honor Hill ceremony. During the ceremony, our Soldiers reflected on a specific maxim from the Infantryman’s Creed: Never will I fail my country’s trust. The Army’s newest Infantry Soldiers departed Honor Hill with the following message from their company commander: ... In peace, our nation trusts us to be citizens of exceptional character. In war, she trusts us to wield her power at the forward edge of battle, and to know when restraint is necessary. We must always strive to earn the trust the title U.S Army Infantry Soldier grants us. In peace, be excellent. In war, you must win. 1SG and I would like to give a special thanks to our XO, 1LT Aaron Black for coordinating and conducting a flawless ceremony for our Soldiers, and his team - company supply and HQ - for doing the significant legwork required to execute that event. Turning Blue Ceremony The Turning Blue Ceremony proper will begin promptly at 10:00 AM Eastern Standard Time on Able Company's Facebook Live. The entire ceremony will occur on on Facebook Live stream, and the Soldiers will file through at the end for some "face-time" after receiving their blue cord (much like we did at Turning Green). Please let me know if you have any questions! ... -CO

FTX complete. Able Company successfully conducted a complex and synchronized operation to culminate a week of squad and platoon battle drills. Motivation is high as the Soldiers prepare for a hot dinner, followed by the 16 mile foot march to Honor Hill, where we’ll arrive at 0400, bright and early.
