An important part of the PAWS for Recycling Week is collecting donations of much-needed items the dogs and cats at the ACC Animal Services shelter. Today, the Clerk of Court staff showed up and showed out again this year with a large donation. Seven (7) employees of the department, under the Direction of Beverly Logan, donated a total of 204 lbs of food!!!! Thank you so much for your generosity! As part of PAWS for Recycling Week, we would like to introduce the two Veterans who have been at the ACC Animal Services shelter the longest and are desperately looking for a forever, loving family. Meet Walter and Pancho! Walter is a sweet, 1 year old neutered male cat who is FIV and FelV negative. Walter has been at the shelter since 6/16/20.... The ACC Solid Waste Department is spreading the recycled pet message by assisting our local ACC Animal Services with the Third Annual PAWS for Recycling Week! When you adopt a shelter pet you are giving a pet a second chance in a new home, just like recycling gives materials a second chance at becoming something new. Raven (black with small white patch on chest) and King (brindle with large white chest) joined us ...with Field Services Supervisor Michelle Carrigg at our Center for Hard to Recycle Materials, aka CHaRM. ACC Solid Waste Department will be collecting the following donations for ACC Animal Services: -Dog and Cat food, new and not expired.
