Service Change Alert: Due to construction, Route 23 will not operate through 2022. Route 27 will increase service to every 30 minute frequency effective August 17th. Route 28 will only operate during peak hours, from 7:25 am-9:45 am and 3:00 pm-4:45 pm. A portion of Route 21 has been modified to increase service near Cleveland Rd.

The Athens-Clarke County, GA Unified Government Mayor & Commission unanimously approved a 5th declaration of a local emergency that included the requiring of face covers or masks in public places with some limited exceptions. The ordinance will be effective at 8:00 a.m. the day after the Mayor’s signature, which is expected on Wed., July 8.

Attention ACC Transit Passengers. After almost 4 months of fare-free travel, Athens-Clarke County Transit will return to charging fares for bus travel on July 15th, 2020. In efforts to reduce the spread of the Coronavirus and protect both bus operators and passengers, transit fares have not been collected since March 18th. ACC Transit offers several options for payment. All buses accept cash, but no change can be given. Single and multi-ride passes are available at the Multim...odal Center at 775 E. Broad Street and through your smart phone using the Token Transit App. Youth 18 and under, senior citizens, people with disabilities, and Athens-Clarke County employees and UGA students and staff continue to ride fare-free, with the appropriate ID. A single ride for adults ages 1964 is $1.75 and a 22 ride pass is $31.00. All passengers are strongly encouraged to wear a face mask while riding ACC Transit. Thank you and stay safe.
