Ready to shoot the MLK Commemorative Service.

Mostly all set up for The King Center's "Salute To Greatness" awards gala. I'll be technical director tonight, and again on Monday at Ebenezer Baptist Church for The Commemorative Service.

I forgot to take a picture while everything was all still set up, but the new prompter went on her maiden voyage today and performed flawlessly. Had a different green screen setup than normal: the actress was behind a desk that I had to pull in, and I used a 7-point lighting setup, with both lavalier mic and shotgun boom mic. For the prompter glass, I ended up using plain glass ($10) instead of beamsplitter glass ($310). Up close, there is a double image of the text, but beyond about 6', the double image disappears. The big advantage of of the plain glass, though, is that it doesn't affect f-stop of the camera... which is a pretty huge advantage.

IT LIVES!!! It took me 11 days of work on it, but I finally managed to fabricate the new teleprompter. It certainly put all my DIY skills to the test.
