It was a crime of opportunity that brought great amusement to the Bryant household in Calgary's Cambrian Heights neighbourhood earlier this week. See more photos here: www.cbc.ca/1.5845935 (: Sheila Bryant)

Winter PSA! As we get into the cooler months, it’s very important to double check your reptiles’ temperatures! Even though their heating elements may stay the same, the ambient temperature in the room may be dropping and they might need a little extra boost in heat. We recommend checking temperatures with a noncontact infrared temperature gun (seen here) to make spot checking easy and efficient. Also, as home heaters get turned on and the air dries out, birds and rep...tiles alike may need some extra humidity in their environments to stay happy and healthy. #reptiles #reptilemedicine #arav #winteriscoming #reptilehusbandry #reptilevet #reptileveterinarian #exoticvet #exoticveterinarian #exoticvetmed #exoticvettech #vet #vettech #veterinarymedicine #veterinarian #exoticanimalvet #exoticveterinarymedicine #exoticveterinaryclinic #snake #lizard #turtle #amphibian #gecko

Pleas help me give a hand to our amazing staff!! This week was Veterinary Technician Week and we celebrated our staff all week long. Serina, Cassi, Kyra, and Rose are the backbone of the hospital and keep things running behind the scenes on a daily basis and they don’t get the recognition they deserve! They are the ones responsible for medicating and caring for the pets who are with us, running anesthesia, taking lab samples and X-rays, answering phones, keeping the hospital clean, and doing all the little things that make our office great. Please thank them for all they do the next time you see them!! We love you all and couldn’t do our jobs as vets without you!!

Can you believe it? Today is our 5 year anniversary!!! 5 years ago today we opened our doors to treat the exotic pets of coastal Georgia. We can’t thank you all enough, both our clients and the local veterinary community, for your support and trust in us in taking care of your pets. We love what we do and hope to be here a long time!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

We seem to be having a problem with callers on Verizon’s network getting through to us right now. We’re not sure of the problem as our phones are working normally for callers who don’t have Verizon. If you are trying to get through to us and can’t, please try to call from a non-Verizon number for the time being! So sorry for the inconvenience!

**RABBIT LOOKING FOR A HOME** Otis is a patient of ours and unfortunately his owner has made the tough decision to find him a new home. Please read below and contact her directly if you are interested in adopting him! Thank you and please share! I have a three-year-old rabbit that is looking for a new home. Otis is neutered and weighs around 5 to 6 pounds. Three months ago, I had my first baby, and Otis didn’t respond well to the change. It’s such a hard decision, but I ha...ve to do what is best for him. Otis seems very unhappy that I don’t have the time for him as I used to before the baby. He has a small area in our apartment and is free-roaming and litter box trained. He will never do well in a cage and likes being around people and likes attention. He doesn’t get along with other rabbits from what I was told when I got him. He will tolerate other animals, but he likes his personal space. He’s an adorable bunny that likes sticking to a routine. He’s in excellent health, and I will get him a checkup before he goes to his new home. With COVID going on, I’ll make sure to follow safe adoption protocols. Otis will come with his favorite treats, litter box area, foam mats, toys, combs, extra litter, hay, food, his box he loves to sleep in, blankets, bowls, etc. If you are interested, please contact me at [email protected] See more

We had a very special visitor today! This adorable 8 week old Bobcat kitten came in for his initial check up and vaccines, and he stole all of our hearts in the process! Photos shared with permission from Twin Pine Farm & Exotics. Please note it is illegal to own a Bobcat in the state of Georgia, but this little guy is from SC and owned legally. #bobcat #exoticcat #feline #exoticcatmedicine #exoticvet #exoticvettech #exoticveterinaryclinic #exoticveterinarymedicine

Who doesn’t love a good fluffy cockatoo? Harnesses are a great tool for some birds to safely travel and spend time with their owners! Teaching a bird to accept a harness can take time and patience, but it’s a great way to spend quality time and bond with your bird. #birds #avianvet #cockatoo #umbrellacockatoo #parrot #parrotsofinstagram #cockatoosofinstagram #exoticvet #aavvets #exoticveterinarian #veterinarian #vettech #exoticvettech #exoticveterinaryclinic #birdtrainingfun #birdharness
