(mic drop) okay, so we spend 2 hours creating that bomb balayage + pretty tone or 45 minutes with that deep conditioning + style that root color was just applied added a glaze on the ends to refresh its looking shineyyyyy + rich! SO, you spent some time with me, than invested your hard earned money on yourself because you freakin deserve it! BUT than you go home + use not so great shampoo/conditioner - products in general (including hot tools y’all!).... there goes your great hair down the drain (womp womp) not but really, us as stylists only have so much control, that glaze lasts 4-6 weeks but if you don’t wash as often or use professional products it will last longer! that vibrant hot pink color you love, everytime you add heat with your flat iron it fades, same with glazes, are you using a heat protectant ? is your flat iron from walmart cranked up to 425? the more volume you may want, the less frizz you desire, the hold you wish your curls had, that texture and movement you want in those waves - the brass you want to keep it bay.. that all comes down to .. PRODUCT whatever challenge you may have with your hair, products are solutions to those problems + us as your stylist are here to help so clients, listen to your hairdresser, trust them because they do know your hair best! (not the girl at ulta, the lady in sephora or the man at harmon) and stylists it’s our job to recommend products based on their needs/wants (i know we get busy behind the chair and forget) it may not be every appt we discuss products but make it a point to chat every 2-3 appts!
