Just because our patients currently can't bring their family/friends to the office doesn't mean these important people can't be a part of their visit! Our patients can use FaceTime, Google Duo, WhatsApp, FaceBook Messenger or any other video call app to include their loved ones. (Just be sure to test before you get here so you are ready to go at your appointment.) During this time of social isolation, it's a great idea to use these apps to stay in touch with all of the import...ant people in our lives. Be well.

Our office remains open as we are an essential healthcare practice which needs to continue to care for our patients. We are here at 7:30am Monday through Friday. We may close earlier than usual if we do not have a full schedule.... We limit the number of patients in the office to maintain social distance & minimize the number of people in the waiting area. We are screening patients to identify those who have recently traveled and/or those who are having symptoms & asking them to reschedule appointments 15-30 days out. We have also increased our already aggressive sanitizing procedures to keep everyone safe. Please stay healthy. We will get through this together.

Update On Coronavirus (COVID-19) To our Patients: Secondary to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak in the United States, we are implementing policies to reduce the risk of Coronavirus transmission in our office to other patients and staff.... We will continue to clean / disinfect surfaces in the patient exam rooms between patients. We have increased our cleaning / disinfecting of common areas. The physicians will no longer use their offices to interview patients. This will be done in the individual exam rooms. Office visits will be limited to the patient and no more than one other visitor. Northside Hospital has implemented a similar policy. This is to limit the number of people in our waiting room and patient rooms. Exceptions can be made for childcare, but specifically, if there is another adult available, they should care for the children and the patient should be seen alone i.e., not two adults and a child in the office. We request that if you or anyone accompanying you have symptoms of Coronavirus (fever, cough, shortness of breath) or have had contact with someone who has been diagnosed with Coronavirus, you do NOT come to the office. We do not provide care for Coronavirus, nor do we have test kits available. Below is a link to the CDC recommendations for pregnant women and Coronavirus: https://www.cdc.gov///prepare/pregnancy-breastfeeding.html. To summarize (as of 3/15/20) there are no known specific risks of Coronavirus to pregnancy or breastfeeding. Most cases are mild and require supportive care. Significant shortness of breath would require seeing your primary care physician or emergency room. Please keep in mind that guidelines and recommendations may change as more information about this becomes known. Sincerely, Alliance Ob/Gyn
