When I first entered Art Station in Stone Mountain, Artistic Director David Thomas was on a zoom call with the Emory Nursing Program talking through a myriad of... details about how to safely open their theater, hopefully in the fall. I was very impressed with how well both he and Emory had thought through the minutia required to ensure that patrons, performers, stage hands and craftspeople remained safe from the still raging pandemic. It is energy like I felt that Saturday morning and energy I have felt in theaters throughout Metro Atlanta that gives me hope that although it is going to difficult, theater will survive and thrive when we come out of this disaster. All shall be done, but it may be harder than you think C.S. Lewis, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.

Breaking News from ART Station: Due to the current COVID 19 pandemic, the leadership of ART Station has made the following decisions: -RAISING OF THE GREEN is postponed until May 17.... -Cabaret performances of The Sounds of Motown on March 20 and 21 is cancelled. -DeKalb Symphony performance at ART Station on March 29 postponed. -The April 11 opening of The Atlanta Portrait Society exhibit will be rescheduled. It is likely that Children’s Summer programs may have to be rescheduled due to the extension of school calendars.
