Today marks the start of National Diabetes Education Week (November 4-10). This recognition week was created to encourage people with diabetes to work with a diabetes educator to learn how to self-manage their diabetes. This includes learning healthy eating, being active, monitoring, taking medication, problem solving reducing risks and healthy coping.
