Hi folks, ASIFA figure drawing starts back TONIGHT, July 21st, upstairs at Mammal Gallery! Class runs from 8-10pm, get there early for a good seat. Our model tonight will be Genevieve P.... Mammal is located at 91 Broad St SW, Atlanta, GA 30303
UPDATE from JOE: Hi folks, As I wrote previously, the folks at Mammal Gallery are excited to host our Thursday night class beginning July 21st, with returning model Genevieve P!... Gallery director Brian Egan has been very enthusiastic and welcomes the opportunity to merge our class with Mammal’s ongoing support for the arts. They have been going strong for over three years now in their downtown location, regularly hosting great art and music events. I have heard from a few artists that they have concerns about the safety of the area around Mammal, which is Broad Street between MLK and Mitchell Street. This is a concern that I brought up with Brian when we discussed moving the class to Mammal. He assured me that the gallery has had many shows there, and even though there are some locals hanging around Broad Street they have not been a problem for the people attending Mammal’s events. That said, there are some things that we can do to help out. First of all, check with other artists who are attending the class, and carpool or take MARTA. There is safety in numbers, and fellowship too! After 6pm there is free street parking, and there is a pay lot across the street from the gallery. The Five Points MARTA station is the central location, and it is a short walk from there to the gallery. This area is well populated and there are police patrols. Look for the Rexall street sign, Mammal is right next to it: Here is a link to the gallery: http://www.mammalgallery.com/ Cheers! -Joe

Howdy folks! Just an update on the parking situation. The parking garage we have been using is under new management. They are no longer lifting the gates for us at 7PM and therefore are asking we pay to park...There is, however, and garage on the corner of Commerce Dr. and W. Trinity that is FREE after 6PM.
From 06/18/15 session with Natalie, at Art Institute in Decatur
