Our office will be closed on Friday, April 10th, 2020 in observance of Good Friday. We will reopen on Monday, April 13th and resume our new temporary hours of Mon - Thurs 8:30am - 4:30pm & Fri 8:30 - 2:00pm. We wish everyone a safe a happy Easter. God Bless!

A little Friday humor: A picture of our week in review. It's been a long week but we made it thru! We are so blessed to have the support of all our wonderful patients and dedicated staff as we adapt to these ever changing times. Our office will remain open and keep our normal business hours in order to serve our patients with all their optical needs. We are also offering curbside service for pick-ups, drop-offs, and adjustments. Just give us a call or send us a text with any questions. During this time of uncertainty, we want to remind everyone that our office isn't just here to help with glasses and contacts; we are a full service medical Optometrist office. Don't fill the already overcrowded ER & urgent care offices, give us a call. We treat pink eye, corneal abrasions & ulcers, eye allergies, and many other ocular issues. We also perform foreign body removal. We are doing all we can to assist the medical community by taking care of as many patients as possible within our field. And yes, we can file your medical insurance. Do your part to help minimize hospital overcrowding and let us do ours by taking care of your eyes.

To maintain safety and wellness, please know and respect our guidelines: If you need to pick up an order, we will leave your order on our front porch. Call 706-543-3599 when you arrive.... If you are coming in for an appointment, our door greeter will take your temperature before being permitted in the building and issue hand sanitizer to you. You will escorted to a sanitized exam room as quickly as possible, away from others. Only those being seen are asked to enter the building. We will come to your car and make adjustments. We ask that family members please remain in the car unless, they are unable to be left alone. If you have traveled outside of the US in the past three weeks, we ask that you not come to our office. If you have been around anyone in the past week with a cough, fever, symptoms of illness or flu, please reschedule. Athens Family Vision Clinic is taking the following steps to ensure your safety and health against COVID- 19. All staff are using the highest standards of cleanliness, their temperatures are being taken, and they are required to use sanitizer and disinfectant supplies. Exam rooms, equipment, eyewear, workstations, and supplies are thoroughly disinfected before and after each patient. Please complete paperwork before arriving for your appointment.
