Decatur staple @athenspizza introduced us to their fresh, dynamic #Mediterranean spot coming soon to Chamblee: @wekarv! We felt like family hanging out with @...sandypap and @shanholler and team whipping up classics and surprises during this exclusive pop-up. Check-out at the goods. Lamb, pork, chicken, short rib turning on a spit. Paired with a pita and some fantastic toppings, all are good. Fave meat was the pork because it was so tender with so much flavor, then followed by the lamb. Plus, the peri-peri spicy sauce paired with the meats and pickled onion were all amazing. Sides: how can we get them all? From the braised collards, to the herbed rice, to the Karv fries, quinoa, and eggplant stew, we love all things Karv Kitchen. Faves: braised collards with the chickpeas and herbed rice with that perfect olive oil and scallion mix. Karv fries are pretty perfect. The sign did say the best fries you’ll ever taste. Zucchini Fritters. Why can’t we have these crunchy and fresh bites every day? They’re one part crunch, one part super creamy of the feta and jammed tons of vegetables in the middle.
