Memorial Day 2020 in Veterans Park at the Atlanta History Center. Never Forget!
Mark, Rest In Peace my friend. You fought a brave battle for 8 years and never gave in. Your work at the USO for so many years made a huge difference for the wonderful men and women serving in our Armed Forces. You will not be forgotten! Max
AVVBA volunteers preparing to greet visitors at the annual Veterans Day celebration at the Atlanta History Center! More than 300 veterans and patriotic citizens attended a wonderful ceremony to honor those who have served or continue to serve our Nation in uniform. Keynote address was given by RADM Wendi Carpenter, US Navy Retired who reminded us of the price of our Freedom! A great Veterans Day!

Our 6th annual Memorial Day picnic was hosted by the Atlanta History Center on May 27th. In addition to a meaningful Remembrance Ceremony, the more than 80 veterans and family members attending the picnic had the opportunity to view the newly opened Cyclorama. Our thanks to CEO Sheffield Hale and his wonderful staff for their continued support and partnership with the AVVBA.
AVVBA members Craig Honaman, Dan Holtz, Cary King and Max Torrence attended the Swearing In Ceremony of Governor Brian Kemp. Veterans were provided front row seats!
