Congratulations to Valrie Bernard, our most recent Caregiver of the Month! Valrie was born in Westmoreland, Jamaica. She later relocated to the United States with her children and began her caregiving career. According to her eldest daughter, Valrie is a patient, compassionate and empathetic caregiver - and we couldn't agree more! Valrie always wanted the best life path for her children, and in particular, making sure they had a hot, nutritious meal for breakfast every day was very important! Valrie is a woman of faith and loves to be with her family. She enjoys watching action movies and comedies, and is an avid crocheter/knitter. Valrie goes above and beyond for her clients and families, and for that, we sincerely thank her!

Congratulations to our August Caregiver of the Month: Pauline Jeffers! Pauline was born on the beautiful Caribbean island of Antigua but moved to the island of Montserrat as a young woman where she was married, raised her four children, spearheaded fundraisers and outreach programs to care for the sick, shut-in, and elderly, while also serving as a member of the Red Cross and running several businesses. After moving to Atlanta, Pauline’s passion and commitment to the elderly... led her to pursue a career as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). She has dedicated her life to caregiving for the past 22 years, working in nursing homes, private homes, and with hospice facilities - always available to support and encourage families and give her clients "lots of love and attention." Pauline is described by friends and family as having the most open, loving, selfless, and caring heart. She is often heard saying, "It is my passion and ministry to serve". See more

Congratulations to our June and July caregivers of the month, Johnnie and Dedra! Thank you for being part of the AHCP team and for sharing your dedication, compassion, and skill with our clients! Johnnie Primes - June Caregiver of the Month: Johnnie Primes credits her mother and grandmother for planting the seeds of patience, love, compassion and honesty in her, all traits that come through in how Johnnie cares for her clients at Atlanta Home Care Partners. Johnnie’s mother ...was a caregiver in central New York in the sixties and her grandmother cared for homebound people, soothing the dying and hugging the bereaved. As a third generation caregiver, Johnnie is grateful for the opportunity to help others. In turn, her children have chosen careers in healthcare, building onto a growing family legacy of caring for people. Dedra Mobley - July Caregiver of the Month: Dedra Mobley is a native of Atlanta with 3 children, 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild on the way. Caring for others is in Debra’s blood and she has been providing care since she was young, starting with her grandfather who had Alzheimer’s. Debra knows how to bring out the best in her clients and gain their trust though wonderful get-to-know-you conversations. She feels that if her client smiles at the end of the day, she has fulfilled her purpose in life.
