Another barrier for women in the United States has been broken! Congratulations to Kamala Harris, vice president-elect, who will be the first Black, South Asian, and Caribbean woman to serve in the role.
This week we want to honor all of the women who have served in the U.S. military. AWF supports women veterans through our Women Veterans Grant Initiative. With funding from The Home Depot Foundation , AWF invests in programs that provide access to behavioral health services, employment readiness training, case management, job search assistance, and housing placement assistance for women veterans. It is AWF’s goal to create healthier communities by ensuring barriers affecting women are removed, and that all women are utilized to their fullest potential.
