"I’ve lived in Atlanta for 14 years, and have used public transportation all my life, since I grew up in New York. I don’t think twice about getting on a train versus driving my car, since I usually find the trains much easier to maneuver through congested areas. Living inside the Perimeter, it is effortless to use alternate modes of transportation. By working for Emory University, I take advantage and use the free Cliff Shuttles daily, which transport all visitors, staff, ...students, etc. to distinct Emory campuses, such as Oxford University, Emory University Hospital Midtown, Executive Park, South and North Dekalb Malls. I also participate in the GeorgiaCommuteOptions (by logging in my alternate commuter miles weekly), a program ‘that helps you get more by driving less.’ Atlanta has a major traffic problem, and the one way to reduce pollution and alleviate congestion is to have alternative, affordable modes of transportation for all. I would encourage corporations to provide incentives to their employees to take commuter options, such as Emory University, which has been providing shuttles and free MARTA passes to its staff for over a decade now. I’d recommend everyone to venture into Atlanta by using MARTA, since you can avoid traffic, and don’t need to waste gas and time. #ATLtransit #MyATLCommute

In September 1982, the Peachtree Center MARTA station opened for service. This stop is MARTA's deepest station, located in a hard-rock tunnel, 120 feet beneath downtown Atlanta. #notthescavengerhuntanswer #tbt #ATLtransit #myatlcommute
