A LOT HAS HAPPENED IN 7 YEARS FOR SCOT PAGE & AUGUSTA AVIATION! Scot joined Team Augusta Aviation on March 31, 2014 as a flight instructor. As of TODAY, he is officially the Chief Pilot of Augusta Aviation's Air Charter Department. The path was a natural progression. Scot started with us as a flight instructor then quickly moved up as the Chief Flight Instructor. Not long afterwards, Scot was promoted to our Air Charter Department as a co-pilot flying Kingairs. He rapid...ly logged the hours needed to move to the left seat in charter as a line captain and eventually was given the Director of Training position. All of that led up to this! As Chief Pilot, Scot will be supervising all our charter pilots, maintaining records, conducting training and answering to the Flight Standards District Office (FDSO). Scot, you are a valuable asset to the team and we are so proud to have you onboard. Congratulations on your promotion to Chief Pilot. You certainly earned it!

Angie Price, our VP of Charter Operations, logged right at 240 hours of ground and classroom time to be approved for the dispatcher practical exam. She's proudly holding her temporary Aircraft Dispatchers License until the FAA mails her the official documentation. Get there by air & save that long drive for your golf game! Rosie, Julia and Becky, 3 of our 4 air charter schedulers, spent the day at the Apparo Golf Tournament on the 17 hole promoting air charter services at Augusta Aviation. Angie was unavailable as she is in school getting her dispatchers license!

WE HAVE THE KEY TO CUSTOMER SERVICE! What do you do when a customer leaves their vehicle in long-term parking with the window down and no one locally with spare keys? This actually happened at Augusta Aviation, Inc. Ro, our line service supervisor, noticed the window down on Mr. and Mrs. Monroe’s Honda Odyssey. He knew they would be gone for 4 days and weather was on the way. With a little creativity and thinking outside the box, Team Augusta Aviation was determined to get... this resolved. We called Greg Hodges, the owner of Honda Cars of Aiken, who had a valet key made and sent someone out to the airport to get the window back up. Special thanks to Jeff Hadden, another loyal Augusta Aviation customer, for hooking us up with Greg Hodges. Committed to excellence since 1940. It’s just what we do!

Congratulations to Montgomery Harrison on successfully completing his FAA check ride this weekend! He is officially a Private Pilot! We are honored to work alongside Monty, and are so proud of this accomplishment.

We're sorta kind of, maybe just a little bit proud...Oh, who are we fooling here? We are sooooo proud of Angie Price, our VP of Charter Operations, for winning the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) Dispatchers Scholarship Award! This is HUGE. Angie is the backbone of our aircraft charter department. Her work ethic and determination have enabled our aircraft charter to grow to where we are today. Angie is a Certified Flight Instructor, and at one time, she actu...ally flew right seat as co-pilot on our chartered flights. We may be just a little bit prejudiced of Angie, but no one is more deserving of this scholarship. She's wanted to get her dispatchers license for several years, and now it's time. Congratulations, Angie! We are so proud to have you on Team Augusta Aviation.

Congratulations to Monty Harrison on completing his first student solo today! Monty started out as a flight student with us and is also now an employee on our Line Service crew. He has been working hard for months to reach this achievement and our instructors and staff are so proud! He has been flying with Augusta Aviation CFIs Dan Matson and William Dustin Raines. Way to go guys!

Mr. Larry Jordan is very modest in his presentation about what makes Angel Flight work. Pilots volunteer 100% of their time and their planes. These pilots pay 100% of the costs associated with air transportation to include fuel and airport landing fees. Many of the patients go to the same airport numerous times before being released from medical care by their physicians. We've gotten to know some of the patients who are flown into Augusta Aviation, Inc. at Daniel Field Airpo...rt for medical care in Augusta. They all are so grateful for the opportunity to receive top-notch medical care that otherwise would not be available to them without Angel Flight. So, if the pilots pay all the costs associated with the air transportation part of Angel Flight, where does the money go that Angel Flight receives? Well, let me just tell you: Any funding Angel Flight receives is used to to staff this organization with compassionate employees who coordinate patient transportation. Our recovery services team members routinely fly across the state, rain or shine, to compassionately work with our hospital partners and donor families to make ...donation happen. Last month, a Family Care Coordinator took a picture of the plane's radar as he flew home from a long work day.
