In honor of breast cancer awareness month we would like to share another before and after of a patient that had a bilateral mastectomy with nipple preservation. This particular patient knew she had the BRCA 1 gene and wanted to have her breast tissue removed for protection. After removing the tissue, cancer was found in the right breast. Dr. Tarakji placed expanders and over the next several weeks, expanded to the desired C cup size. 3 months later, 545 cc silicone implants were placed. Dr. Tarakji also removed fat from the patients abdomen and flanks and placed it throughout the breasts. Thus, giving the patient more cleavage and upper pole fullness. This patient is currently 3 months post-op.
