Augusta Rescue Mission

The Augusta Rescue Mission hosted its annual Christmas Party for the Program Residents this evening. It was such a blast! Thank you to all the individuals who stepped up to help make this event truly special for the men at the mission. Merry Christmas!

Great news!! All of our residents have been claimed for the adopt-a-resident Christmas Gift program! We are so grateful for the generous individuals who are participating this year! Thank you!

This morning, we hosted our annual Meal Delivery Program and On-site Thanksgiving Meal. It was a tremendous time of encouragement for everyone involved. We served over 400 hundreds meals at both events today! Thank you to all the volunteers that gave of their morning to serve people in our community! Happy Thanksgiving!

We have had a tremendous response from you all concerning volunteering for our Thanksgiving Events, and we NO LONGER need volunteers on Thanksgiving Day. We have reached FULL CAPACITY. Thank you so much for your generosity and your interest in serving our community. We are so grateful for you! It's that time of year again! We are gearing up for the holiday season at the Augusta Rescue Mission. For those who are interested in helping out this year, we are hosting a Volunteer Meeting on Tuesday November 5th from 6:30 to 7:30 pm. We will share essential information as to how you can participate in serving our community this Thanksgiving. Light refreshments will be provided at this brief meeting. VOLUNTEER SPACE IS LIMITED. We have 25 men who have requested up to 3 gifts under $30, and we need volunteers or groups to "adopt" these men by providing these wrapped gifts for them. Here's how it works: Contact the Augusta Rescue Mission and tell us how many residents you would like to sign up for. Receive their name and gift request(s). Purchase, wrap, and tag gifts. Drop gifts off by Monday Dec. 17 if NOT attending the party, or let us know you would like to provide the gift IN PERSON by attending our Christmas party being held on Tuesday Dec. 18, 2018 at 6 pm.
