We just received a very nice message from Emory about out face shields and I wanted to pass this along for everyone who has supported us through this pandemic. Hi Chuck. I wanted to thank you and share these pictures of your face shields that are being used at Grady ER, Emory ER, Emory Midtown ER, and Emory Johns Creek ER.... My husband David is in the picture with the trees. He is the Chair of Emergency Medicine at Emory. The other photo is another doctor at Emory. Peace of Thread is a nonprofit organization that normally makes purses which are one-of-a-kind and made skillfully by ARTISAN Refugees who come to the U.S. seeking refuge from war, poverty & persecution. We are using our lasers to cut fabric so the ARTISAN’s can sew thousands of cloth face masks. These masks are going directly to first responders and healthcare workers. We delivered another 75 face shields to Emory today. In just the first week since Emory opened their drive-through donation center, community members have donated 318,806 items (see list of items). Awards Atlanta has just assembled our 414th face shield. We have donated to Piedmont Hospital, Emory, Kennestone, AMR North Fulton, LifeBrite Community Hospital of Early, Saint Joseph's Hosptial and CHOA. We are so proud of everyone at Awards Atlanta playing a huge part in this effort to reduce the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Also, the Lisowski family worked last Sunday; they lasered, cleaned and assembled over 40 face shields. We still have more to make and deliver. If you know of someone in the Healthcare Industry, just let us know and we will try to help.

The entire city has been depleted of all the PETG plastic sheet material which is used to make the shield portion of the face shields. I just discovered a hidden case at my vendor and I'm able to make a lot more. Good news for all the Doctors and Nurses who have reached out looking for more shields. #faceshield
