Museums are the perfect venue for rainy days and Mondays! The Telfair Museums, which share a single $20 admission fee, are open 10am-5pm Thursdays-Mondays. They are closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Telfair Museums has taken the Savannah Safe Pledge, requiring all visitors to wear a face mask while at our three sitesthe Telfair Academy, the Owens-Thomas House & Slave Quarters, and the Jepson Center for the Arts. The museums have implemented a number of new health initiatives f...or visitors and staff, including social distancing, regular deep cleanings, hand sanitizer, plexiglass, and reduced-contact admissions procedures. Every day is a challenge to every person we have met. This is one of the many reasons we love what we do. Dear Teresa, We really enjoyed our Savannah visit and have already recommended it to friends who want to get away from their homes for a couple of days. We also hope to return soon. With family in Alexandria VA, Savannah seems the best place to overnight on our trips there. Or perhaps we can persuade our son to meet us at The Azalea Inn and Villas with his wife and lat...e teenaged children. There is nothing we would suggest doing differently.
