After warming up with a B3 class, enjoy a winter smoothie. That's right - a cold drink with warming spices that will keep you feeling cozy inside What’s a warming spice? Think anything you’d add to a pot of steaming apple cider, or the flavors you find in chai: cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, cloves, cardamom, cumin, coriander, black pepper, ginger, and turmeric are all great options.... Here are a few recipes from the B3 Kitchen, warming spices included. Cacao Coconut Maca Shake INGREDIENTS 6 oz coconut water 2 Tbs. unsweetened shaved coconut 1 handful spinach leaves 1 small frozen banana 1 Tbs. cacao powder 1 Tbs. raw almond butter 1 Tbs. flax seeds 1 tsp. maca powder* dash of cinnamon pinch of sea salt 3-4 ice cubes *optional: 1 tsp. honey or 3 medjool dates, pitted INSTRUCTIONS Blend on medium until mostly combined. Blend on high for an additional minute or until completely smooth. Serve sprinkled with shaved coconut, chia seeds and maldon sea salt. Enjoy! *Pregnant and nursing moms should consult with their doctor before consuming maca. Coconut + Maca Shake INGREDIENTS 2 bananas 4 Tbs. almond butter 3 Tbs. extra-virgin coconut oil 2 Tbs. chia seeds tsp. maca powder* tsp. ground cardamom tsp. freshly grated nutmeg cup coconut milk 4 ice cubes Dried coconut chips or shredded coconut (as garnish) INSTRUCTIONS: Blend until smooth. *Pregnant and nursing moms should consult with their doctor before consuming maca. Golden Milk Smoothie INGREDIENTS: 2 frozen bananas cup almond butter 1 Tbs. chia seeds 2-inch piece fresh turmeric 2-inch piece fresh ginger 1 tsp. ground turmeric 1 vanilla bean (seeds only, or 1 tsp. vanilla extract) tsp. cinnamon 1 cups almond milk 3 ice cubes 3 dates (optional) tsp. astragalus powder (optional) tsp. chaga powder (optional) Bee pollen, for garnish (optional) INSTRUCTIONS Blend all ingredients on medium until smooth.Serve sprinkled with bee pollen. Enjoy! Whip one up and drink your cozy.

Full bellies and full hearts this Thanksgiving season for our b3 family. One of our most favorite things is being able to move together. Having class in our parking lot allows for more of us to do what we love together. Bring a spouse, friend, neighbor, kid home from college , and join us Saturday 11/28 at 9 AM for a 45 minute class with Tara. As always, we are taking precautions by wearing masks, social distancing by marking spots, providing hand sanitizer, and limiting contact. We hope to see you there!

PUMPKIN SPICE COOKIES These yummy treats are packed with protein and fiber and, thanks to the almond flour, they’re gluten-free. Take two for a snack after your next workout, or pack them in a school lunch for a healthy dessert. INGREDIENTS... 2 1/2 cups almond meal 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. ground cinnamon 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg 1/4 tsp. ground cloves 1/4 tsp. ground ginger 1/2 tsp. fine sea salt 3 Tbs. coconut oil, slightly melted 2 organic free-range eggs 1/2 cup organic pumpkin puree 6 Tbs. pure maple syrup 2 tsp. pure vanilla extract 1/2 cup organic dark chocolate chips 1/2 cup crushed walnuts INSTRUCTIONS -Preheat the oven to 350F degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. -In a medium bowl, mix together the almond meal, baking soda, spices, and salt. -In a small bowl, beat the eggs. Stir in the coconut oil, pumpkin puree, pure maple syrup, and vanilla extract. -Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until well incorporated. Stir in chocolate chips and walnuts. -Place dough in the freezer for 15 minutes to set. -Using a small cookie scoop or spoon, drop 1 1/2 inch balls of dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Space cookies about 1 1/2 inches apart. -Bake for 15 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove from oven and cool on a wire rack before enjoying.
