Aloha! Our beloved family cat, Salem, who escaped during his trek from Hawaii, was last seen in the Village at Mill Creek Apartment Community in Statesboro! He ...still has his white, reflective flea collar on. He's 5000 miles away from home and skittish, but he is very domesticated and friendly. He will respond to his name and if you say "Meow Meow" in a high pitched voice. Other details, he is all black, very slender, with a VERY long tail. He looks like a panther. Salem bolted on Thursday in Savannah and somehow made it all the way to Statesboro. He was in the process of relocating from Hawaii and slipped away Thursday while on a rest break on the final leg of his journey. He was with grandma and grandpa and slipped out of his breakaway collar. Grandma and grandpa spent two days looking for him where he ran off, but they live in Florida and just couldn't stay in a hotel looking for a scared kitty in the woods. We do not live in Georgia, y'all just happen to be the lovely place where decided run off at while on his journey. He was having a rough couple of days with all the flying and driving. He is microchipped. He's probably frazzled, but he is a very sweet boy and has no clue what is going on right now and is likely to be scared and alone. He's a pretty integral part of our family and loved by our five kids. Any assistance would be wonderful.
