Today looks like it will be our last day. Due to the outpouring of love and support from y'all we will be out of food by early this evening. It has truly been a pleasure to serve you!

We are overwhelmed with outpouring of love and support from our followers as we make this change in our path! Y'all are truly great and we have been so blessed to have been able to serve you. We will still be in the community so keep an eye on here for updates as to where and when, and if you see the trailer out and about please stop in and say hey! This being the final week, we are basically running thru inventory so we will not have a ton to try and put in storage. With that said, please understand if we are out of certain items. Again, thank you so much for your support and we hope we will see you soon!!!!!!

2020 was a terrible year! We started the year with wet cold weather. It finally cleared and started to warm up and we had 2 weeks of fantastic weather! We know because our sales reflected it. Then COVID hit and everything turned upside down for us. Prices on our proteins went through the roof, if we could even get them, so we had to close down. No sense in passing along that sort of price increase, and on inferior product to boot. During this time we had an internal mis...appropriation of funds meant to pay our employees, which would have helped out greatly, but instead we had to use other relief funds for that purpose. We reopened to dismal sales and very low traffic, with very few caterings. We have tried to hang on but the fact is we are entering the traditional slow period for us over the next 3 months that we would normally be able to cover from spring, summer and fall sales, but without those we don’t have the reserves needed to continue to operate. So we will close our doors in Grayson on Dec 31st. We are not throwing in the towel completely. We do not know what the future holds; economically, politically, or health wise, but have not ruled out coming back to a different location at a later time if it makes sense. We wish to thank every person that has believed in us, and supported us as we have truly lived our passion. We have had an incredible landlord here at the Railyard who has attempted to ease our burden, but it is just not fair to them. We will miss our work family and hope they all land on their feet! What a week! We had the great pleasure to serve nearly 800 Wal-Mart associates over 2 days at their distribution facility in Monroe, and catered numerous events on Wednesday as well. We did this short staffed due to a covid exposure for one of our cooks, which when he found out, did the right thing and quarantined himself before exposing anyone here at BDQ which was connfirmed by tests. We are re-grouped and ready to go! So come on out today and enjoy some of this wonderf...ully beautiful sun shine today. It may be a bit chilly but if you grab a seat in the sun the wind is going to be calm all day, and we have plenty of sunshiny spots on our patio! Tonight we are supporting Cooper Elementary PTA in conjunction with Berens Frozen Custard, so come out after 5 and let the Kid's eat FREE with an adult dinner. Then stroll across the green and enjoy some most excellent frozen custard from another great family owned spot! See more
