This is craftsmanship! A local high school had the lead pipe ripped in half so we replaced it! Rick has been apprenticing for a couple years now and is really starting to develop his skills. He has a great mechanical aptitude which allows him to use similar ideals with different tools in our trade. This is very important in our industry as we have to be critical thinkers to repair stuff all the time. Rick never went to repair school but under the proper training at Bill Smi...th Music he is now repairing brass instruments better then most of the repair technicians in the great state of Georgia. I feel 100% confident saying that as I have now been repairing instruments in Georgia for 11 years. BSM’s Allison is a master technician. Her woodwind work is far superior to anyone in the city as far as I’m concerned! Had a pro bring this saxophone in for some play condition work. If you notice the before picture has pads leaking on the front all the way up the stack. After adjusted and regulated properly there are no leaks with a very light touch. We have the best cleaning devices you can get in our industry! For brass instruments we use ultrasonic cleaning technology with industrial machines. These machines are 55 and 180 gallon with an eco friendly disinfecting solution. Once the instrument is completely submerged, 2 large generators blast sound waves through the solution to basically vibrate the dirt out from inside every nook and cranny. This process is non abrasive and cleans/disinfects better then any hand cleani...ng could do alone. Also, do not compare these state of the art machines to a much cheaper drop in a tub device as the efficiency is not even comparable to the amperage our equipment generates!
