Meet Dennis Moore Dennis Moore had advanced osteoarthritis in his knee that was affecting his life on a daily basis. He was no longer able to enjoy the activities that he loved so much. Dennis is an avid golfer, water skier and grandfather. Once he recognized just how much his knee was limiting his lifestyle, he was examined by J. Matthew Valosen, MD, at the Bone & Joint Institute of South Georgia. It was decided that the knee joint would need to be replaced utilizing the ...Mako robotic arm for increased accuracy and quicker recovery time. After the surgery at his 2 week follow up, Dennis walked in to his appointment with Dr. Valosen with no assistance at all with only one request, to play golf the next day He did! I’ve been so blessed with the entire experience of my total knee replacement, the Mako robot, Dr. Valosen and the entire staff of the Bone & Joint Institute.
