Another Day, Another 5K in the books for the Black Knights. This morning the company participated in the Fort Gordon St Patrick’s Day 5k run. Today we had the honor of graduating 2 25P, Microwave Systems Operator/Maintainer. These Soldiers have contributed tremendously to the history of the corps and the US Army. Over the past 2 weeks, the Black Knights command team has been implementing several different initiatives to address mental health awareness throughout the formation. Understandably the impact of COVID-19 has had a negative effect on the morale of our student population due to the strenuous restrictions that had to be put in place for their safety and the safety of their families. Today we would like to recognize one of our Black Knights, PFC Christian Sutton, for taking the ...initiative to sit down with CPT Lee to address some of the concerns that he had at his level as it pertains to the mental health of his battle buddies. He, also, used his love of physical training to hold Saturday sessions with his battle buddies in order to build comradery and improve upon their mental and physical health. PFC Sutton was named the Hero of the Month from his company command team (CPT Lee and 1SG George), the Most Valuable Patriot from his Battalion command team (CSM Curry, LTC Ousby, MAJ Landis) for the week of 28Feb - 06Mar, and presented with a Brigade coin by the CSM (CSM Russell) and Brigade Commander (COL Kendall) of 15th Signal Brigade.
