Altama Ave is now fully open from the serious accident.

Due to a serious accident, part of Altama in from of the college and BHS is closed. Altama Ave south from Tara Lane to BHS is now open for BHS traffic. Altama northbound in front of the college is still closed.

Our A-1 shift is ensuring Covid-19 safety with pink & red mask on this Valentines Day! If you see one of our officers tell them you seen this post and they will have a special treat to give you!

For several years a local family has adopted a family of children for Christmas. This year due to Covid 19 and scheduling, they were only able to adopt one child; however, they were determined to keep the tradition. Tonight they had a little help with the delivery from Santa’s elves!! As always, the elves find joy in serving the community in any way possible. Congratulations to our newest Sergeant, Marlon Groover. Below, he is being sworn as a Sergeant by Chief Jones. Sgt. Groover will continue to be the Training Coordinator.

A few weeks ago a two local realtors, Carly Oxenreider and Holly Ponsell had a vision of spreading Christmas cheer to children in the community. Mrs. Oxenreider reached out to the Brunswick Police Department for assistance in locating children. Through this collaboration,The Santa Drop was underway. With help from Ms. Ponsell, residents of Oak Grove Island and givers from various parts of the United States (Amazon is great) more than 20 children received gifts on last night! Thank you to ALL that gave and a very special thank you to our Santa who faithfully wears blue on his off days
