This beautiful girl is Maureen. The first picture is the day she came into the shelter so terrified she would try to crawl into the corner to hide and the second picture was taken today, about three weeks later. Isn’t she beautiful? Life in the shelter is stressful and hard for some dogs and even though Maureen has light back in her eyes what she needs is a foster home. You see...not only is she timid and shy, she is also heartworm positive and will begin her treatment soon and the loud shelter environment will not be good for her health. Iona is our newest foster. She was wandering the side of the road and a kind friend stopped to protect her and she jumped right in his car. She is very sweet-heartworm negative/fecal negative!
