It’s always something.

I will be going again this year with David and the Broken Shackle family to do hurricane relief. Like David said in his post, we don’t make a dime off this and it cost the victims $0. However it is a huge out of pocket cost and very expensive to buy supplies, fuel, and all the food to feed these people. Last year it was in neighborhood of around $10,000.00 between the fuel, food and supplies that it took us to go for two weeks. The Lord blessed us with help and donations almo...st to the amount that we had to spend to help the people of south Ga. for those of you who don’t know, we carry heavy equipment and food down to disaster areas that have been devastated. We give communities hot meals and help stabilize their living conditions until they can afford to get help past what we provide. We work in conjunction with state and federal agencies as volunteers. I am not a person who generally ask for help, but this is a cause I believe in and it is truly a humbling experience. I have a album of pictures from our last trip that is unbelievable. Dorian is currently moving at 1 mph so it’s Wreaking everything it hits currently. We haven’t been told where we will be yet, but it will be in Ga. See more
