At Camp Sunshine, we are thankful every day for so many reasons. On Thursdays in November, we are sharing what we are especially thankful for. In 2020, we are thankful for technology. It has been the thing that has kept us together during the pandemic. We are staying connected with our campers and families every way we can. Thank you to everyone who has been joining us on Zoom! Happy Fall Y'all.
Happy Fall Y’all! We’re feeling like 2020 was one big trick. Can’t wait for all the treats in 2021. Have a safe and fun Halloween!
This picture from 2019 is our volunteers out at camp. They assemble every year after the Keencheefoonee Road Race to proudly display the amount they raise for Camp Sunshine. The number shown is this years total. For their 20th year they never imagined there would be a virtual camp and a virtual race. But even in a pandemic, they insisted on raising donations to support kids with cancer. Thank you to everyone who gave and thank you to our many corporate sponsors for their support especially R.N.C. Industries, Inc. and Burr & Forman LLP.

We were so excited to "see" all the campers and familar faces at Sunshine 2.0 this summer in a virtual world. These smiles are brought to you by YOU! Thank you for your generous support of the year-round programs we provide...even in a pandemic...to children with cancer in Georgia. Enjoy this video made especially for YOU!

Good luck to our Atlanta Braves! Show your support and #RepTheA. Share a video or photo on your social media. Go Braves!
We are so honored that one of our campers was invited to a recent Georgia Football game in honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. We are grateful for a very supportive relationship with the team. They visit summer Camp every year - even this year they made an appearance to have a virtual dance-off via Zoom. Good luck at this weeks game! #godawgs
Camp Sunshine congratulates the recipients of our 2020 College Scholarships. We are proud to award 30 scholarships to an impressive group of camper alumni who are attending school at 20 different institutions this fall. Supporting cancer survivors beyond their years at summer camp is an important part of our mission, and we can’t wait to see what great things these alumni will accomplish! Please enjoy reading one inspiring essay from our amazing camper alumni.
Nurses are selfless individuals that follow the call to become someone’s hero. Pediatric nurses, in particular, are a special group of nurses caring for the most vulnerable group of individualschildren. Pediatric Nurses Week is a yearly celebration for nurses that choose to train in pediatrics. Due to the pandemic, we MISS seeing our heroes at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, at Aflac Cancer & Blood Disorders Center and at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah in the hospital and out at camp. They deserve so much more than just a week of appreciation. We <3 them every day, all year long for the excellent care they provide children with cancer and especially now. They are real-life superheroes who go above and beyond their calling-they also come to camp!
As Childhood Cancer Awareness Month comes to end, we thank you if you’ve already donated to support the mission of Camp Sunshine. While we miss in-person connections, we feel as connected as ever. During this pandemic, we’ve been busy making sure we adjust all of our programs and connect with our campers and their families every way we can. If you haven't donated during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, we hope you can consider a donation to keep Camp Sunshine's year-round programs possible for children with cancer in Georgia. https://donatenow.networkforgood.org/1439664
Thank you Atlanta United FC for making sure to connect with kids with cancer during Childhood Cancer Awareness month. What a nice surprise for them!
We are so honored and grateful to the many who have already donated to the 20th year of the volunteer-lead Keencheefoonee Road Race. While it happened in a virtual way this year, we could not stop our volunteers from raising money for children with cancer in Georgia and Camp Sunshine programs. This event ends tomorrow on September 30th as we close out Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Feel free to honor your favorite volunteer with a donation today.
