The #MurrenWay Fundamental #9 - Listen Generously Listening is more than simply not speaking. Give people your undivided attention. Be present and engaged. Quiet the noise in your head and let go of the need to agree or disagree. Listen with care and with empathy. Most importantly, listen to understand. #MurrenWay http://camurren.com/fundamental-9-listen-generously

Have you checked your teeth today? Investing the time to select the best tooth system for your needs will deliver good payback, but only if you and your operators treat the systems properly. You must choose the style of tooth carefully to perform your job effectively. The wrong tooth or a blunt tooth forces you to burn more fuel and robs you of many buckets over the course of a day. When you have the power of a diesel engine and robust hydraulics providing the muscle for the ...digging you may not notice it much, but over time the wrong tooth hurts your productivity and profitability. Zach’s Favorite tooth for the job is the twin Tiger teeth because it allows for more penetration and last longer than the tiger tooth. What are your favorite teeth for the job?? #murrenway #heavyequipment #dirtwork

Spotlight: Becky Smith Becky was born and raised in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and graduated cum laude from the University of Alabama with a bachelor’s degree in education. She taught elementary school for several years prior to transitioning to an office work environment. In 1998, she and her husband moved to Georgia. They had a son in 2004. This year, Becky celebrated 25 years of marriage. During Becky’s free time, she enjoys the beach, lake, Netflix and relaxing with her with her... family. Becky’s advice to future generations is to be a lifelong learner. In October 2018, Becky joined the C. A. Murren Family! Becky is our equipment administrator and is a very organized person. She tracks all the equipment (with over 300 pieces of equipment, you must be organized) from trucks to all the heavy machinery. Every day, Becky exhibits all our Murren Way traits, but the one that really comes to mind is her positive attitude. She comes to work with a great attitude and a welcoming smile, daily. Becky, thank you for all you do for our company; we are lucky to have you! #murrenway #hardwork #lucky #nowhiring

Spotlight: Michael Siebieda Michael Siebieda joined our team in October 2018. Being very familiar in this industry, and a prior business owner, it did not take Mike long to work his way into a Project Manager position. All clients involved with these projects have well deserved praise when speaking of Siebieda and his professionalism. We appreciate the dedication, commitment, and integrity Michael brings to C.A. Murren and Sons. He shows a great strength in our 1st fundamental act with integrity. Thank you for all you do to make our company the best it can be.

The #MurrenWay Fundamental #6 - Take ownership Take personal responsibility for making things happen somehow, someway. Respond to every situation by looking for how we can do it, rather than explaining why it can’t be done. Be resourceful and show initiative. Don’t make excuses. Take the extra step to solve the problem. See issues through to their completion. http://camurren.com/fundamental-6-take-ownership/
