daily knowledge Melanoma cancer melanoma begins in the melanocytes other names for this cancer are malignant melanoma and cutaneous melanoma. some of the tuners can appear brown or black because they still produce melanin while those that don't produce melanin appear pink, tan or even white. this cancer can occur anywhere on the skin, the most common locations on men or chest and back. the common location for women are their legs. it also can occur on the neck, face, palms ...of hands, soles of the feet, under the nails, eyes, mouth, genital and anal area. although this skin cancer is less common then basal cell and squamous cell skin cancer, it's far more dangerous but caught in the early stages it's curable and it's more likely to spread if not caught early. to much expose to ultraviolet(uv rays) and moles are risk factors. in women they are at a higher risk before the age of 40 and men are at a higher risk after the age of 40.
