Good Morning! Today is a beautiful day to celebrate Hoboken turning 100 years old and have a parade with a festive Christmas in the City Celebration in-between! Today’s events go as follows: Rocking through the Next 100 Years Christmas in the City Celebration (on Main Street in front of City Hall) starts at 4:00pm Scared Harp will sing at 4:00pm Christmas around the Corner (booths for some of the businesses in Hoboken will be set up selling different items) ... During this time we will have a movie on the lawn (bring chairs or blankets), food trucks will be set up (so bring extra cash), we will have a walk through display showing the history of Hoboken over the last 100 years, Christmas Music, and the snow machine. The parade lineup will start at Hoboken Baptist Church at 5:30pm and doesn’t require a form this year. You ARE allowed to throw candy. The parade will start at 6:00pm and afterwards, please come back to City Hall to watch some line dancing, eat some good food, and celebrate even more! Merry Christmas Hoboken! PLEASE SHARE!

Santa Claus is coming to town Santa and Mrs Claus will be riding the fire truck around Hoboken on Friday, December 11th around 6:00pm. On this particular ride, we will be covering as many areas as we can North of the red light/train-tracks. This will include neighborhoods around Burton Blvd, on both sides of 121, neighborhoods near Hoboken Elementary, Saddle Club, and back around. We will do our best to see as many as we can. Each of you are more than welcome to drive to an area we will be covering as we won’t be able hit everyone in one night. We look forward to seeing all of your smiling faces. Merry Christmas!

Today we laid to rest one of our city’s heroes. Captain Danny Wayne Norris served our community with love, dedication, and integrity. He exemplified what it means to be a public servant and constantly put the needs of our citizens above his own. He leaves behind a legacy that will not be forgotten as he has touched lives too numerous to count. What a testimony of his love for the Lord and his love for life. We are blessed to have known him and to have been able to call him one of our own. #902 #foreverinourhearts
