We had a citizen stop by today, she has been saving up her allowance because she wanted to do something special for Law Enforcement. Miss Kay bought our Officers some coffee and donuts!!! Thank you Miss Kay for your thankful act of kindness and appreciation! MPD!

City of Monroe Police Department would like to honor former Chief Billy Underwood, who started with the department in 1967 to begin his law enforcement career. Between his service at MPD, Walton County DA's Office and Walton County SO, Underwood served the citizens of Walton County for more than 50 years. We honor him, his family and his dedicated service. A memorial service will be held at 1025 Church in Monroe, Ga Monday, December 21, at 2 pm, with visitation from 12-1:45pm.

The City of Monroe Police Department would like to thank the citizens who helped make our annual shop with a cop possible. Your donations made it possible for us to provide a Christmas to many children who wouldn't have had that opportunity this year.

Our officers were ecstatic to spend time on the golf course, primarily to support a fantastic cause, such as Project ReNeWal. Project ReNeWal is a Domestic Violence Intervention Program changing lives in Rockdale, Newton, and Walton Counties. (Pictured Left to Right- Capt. Chambers, K9 Gee, K9 B. Studdard & Sgt. Silverberg)
