This is just one of THREE carloads of clothing that our awesome community donated!! These clothes were donated to Foster Care Support Foundation. We received a note from a foster mama who shops there for her foster kids overwhelmed by the donation. Thank you, CAA Family, for standing in the gap for these families and donating to the clothing drive!
Our Thriving Third Graders did a creative writing strategy last week called "Roll-A-Story." They were given a dice and a guide, and they rolled the character, setting and problem of the story, and then wrote the rest of the story themselves. So thankful for our incredible teachers who make writing fun and challenging for our students!
Weekly memory verse.

Due to storms, we will delay the start of school on Thursday, October 29. Carpool will be from 9:00-9:15am. School will still end at 2:30pm. Teachers will send an email if Friday's home-learning lesson plans need to be altered due to the shorter day in school on Thursday. ... Thank you for understanding this change as we seek to protect the safety of our staff and families.

Home-learning days don’t always have to be done alone! A lot of families do school together, swap kids in the same grades or get together to work on projects. We love to see Alive Community in action!
Picture day didn’t stop our first graders from using some critical thinking skills! They worked together while they waited for their school photos stretching their math brains. So thankful for teachers who think outside of the box with fun, creative learning for our students!
Alive community in action! These 4th grade boys and their dads met up to work on their Sign of the Beaver project. We love to see our students connect outside of the classroom. So thankful for all of our families!
Can you believe we are already to the end of October? How are your kids doing with our memory verses this year? We hope your family is treasuring storing the Word in your hearts.

Staff Spotlight! Jenny Carruth is our 5th grade teacher and Admissions Director. She is entering my 25th year teaching! She holds a Bachelor's in Elementary Education from Morehead State University in Kentucky. Jenny has taught grades K-5, but she would tell you that upper-elementary is her sweet spot. She believes that children learn best in a safe and nurturing environments where they have the opportunity to explore, ask questions, and work collaboratively. Her life and wor...k's mission is summed up this way: "to GATHER a community of children, INVITE them into the bigger story of how Jesus is at work in the world, EQUIP them with what they need, so they can LAUNCH into their God-given purpose and passion. Jenny believes that education centered and grounded in Christ is essential, and that there is no greater privilege than to be a partner with parents in helping children discover who God is and who He has made them to be.
