Today members of the #MariettaFire dept, Marietta, Georgia Police Department, and others were recognized for their integral roles in saving the life of a fellow citizen and presented with a Challenge Coin from Wellstar Kennestone Hospital. Last month, Engine 52 responded to a medical call at The BIG Chicken. When #MariettaFire arrived on scene they discovered the manager, Angela Brooks (who was also recognized today), performing CPR. E52 took over patient care while the Marie...tta PD and Metro Ambulance arrived and thus assisted E52 in life saving efforts. The patient was loaded and transported to Kennestone's ER where they were able to make a full recovery! This is what makes our community great! Saving the life of this person was truly a team effort. Angela Brooks was also presented with a Challenge Coin from the MFD to thank her for stepping into action!
