Commerce Elementary School

Students in grades K-4 each created a piece of art for the Georgia Board of Education office in Atlanta to be displayed either there or at our hometown restaurant El Parian. The art pictured was sent to Atlanta and all other art will be hung soon at the restaurant.

Mrs. Duke’s students reviewed growing and repeating non numeric patterns with s’mores.

Good morning. Please know that our goal is to offer in-person instruction to our students through Friday, May 21, 2021. To make this goal a reality we need yo...ur help. As our employees have to be quarantined, we need as many substitutes as possible. Currently, our alumni are home from college, and they are doing a phenomenal job working in our schools. When they return to college in January, we will need additional substitutes. If you are interested, please contact Joy Tolbert at [email protected]. Also, as our bus drivers have to be quarantined, we do not have enough bus substitutes. If you are interested in being a substitute bus driver, please contact Carol Wilkie at [email protected]. Finally, the only thing that we can do currently to lessen the spread of the virus is wear a mask. Please encourage everyone to wear a mask in and out of school to keep our community as healthy as possible. On Monday, our system sent home a survey with students in grades K-8 to gather information on devices and internet connection in the event our system has to go online. It is not our intention to go online, but we must be prepared with this information in the event that it happens. Please contact me directly with any questions.
