Community Hospice

November is National Hospice and Palliative Care Month! 2020 is certainly a year to remember, but we would be amiss if we did not take time amongst the chaos to say THANK YOU to the very important people who make our hospice work possible. We are thankful for every patient for whom we have the privilege of caring. We are thankful for every caregiver and the labor of love that they freely give. Without our patients and their devoted families, there would not be a need for our... organization. We are thankful to serve in a community that embraces the hospice philosophy of care and so faithfully supports our mission. Every doctor, nurse, hospital, pharmacy, community leader, and citizen are an integral part of what we do. Community Hospice is so very thankful for our team, our extended family, who put in endless hours and make personal sacrifices so that our patients and their families are provided with the best possible care imaginable. You all do an amazing job, and we could not do what we do without you! Today we wish all of our patients, families, friends, and supporters a very blessed Thanksgiving and a safe and happy holiday season. May you live every day to the fullest, focusing not on an end to come, but on the memories being made in the life you have left to live.

Every year Community Hospice feeds Thanksgiving lunch to our patients on the day before Thanksgiving. This year, COVID-19 has made that impossible. In an effort... to still bring the celebration to our patients, staff are delivering gift bags of mini pies to our patients and families. We hope that they enjoy eating these pies as much as we enjoy spending time with the patients when we visit them.
