Creation Exploration Club

The beavers have indeed been busy this week.

Just a reminder to parents that tonight we will finish up our exploration of winter weather and then have a little Christmas celebration. I’m especially looking forward to our Let’s Make a Deal gift grab, because I’ve never seen a group of kids so excited and thankful for dollar store trinkets.

A beautiful and unexpected Christmas gift from our oldest daughter (& family), combining the joys of coffee and wild mushrooms. I immediately called dibs on the morels cup, since they were the big surprise of 2020.

Our young explorers have so much to say about the things we study but we never have enough time for their stories. Tonight we’ll have Show-and-Tell so they can all have a chance to share about something that has captured their interest. Please remind your youngsters to pick out an object to bring.

This is the first time I’ve seen a zebra longwing butterfly on our property. Such striking coloration!

Fun with Fungus- This is one of my weakest areas of nature study but it doesn’t stop me from appreciating their beauty!
