LC schools are on a 3 hour delay tomorrow morning. We will plan to open DCDA at 9am. We will check road conditions tomorrow morning and make sure travel is safe. We will not be serving breakfast tomorrow. Please feed your kiddo breakfast before coming to school. GA Pre K will begin at 11. Drop off will start at 10:45. Thank you!

Happy Valentines Day Pre-K had such a sweet little party, with lots of goodies!! We LOVE our sweet kiddos and families.

Day 4 of Inclusion week: In Pre-K 2, we talked about working as a team and completed a scavenger hunt finding items around our classroom. We made groups of 3, and provided each group with a page of pictures and name of items for them to cross off when found. They had so much fun working together!! #loveinclusion2021

Today The Fours talked about what makes each person unique and special. On the board they listed special things about each friend in the classroom This afternoon they are sending home a bag with each child and with the help of their parents, the children are supposed to put something in the bag that is unique or special to their family. They will share their special items during morning circle tomorrow. #LoveInclusion2021 #inclusionmatters #brightfromthestart

Our Dahlonega Country Day Academy staff is broken hearted today. We are saying goodbye to one of our FABULOUS teachers. She is making the move to Virginia for her precious little family. We will miss you so much Linsey and wish you all the BEST.

Dahlonega Country Day Academy wants to say a special thank you to Jeff and Darlene Bearinger for treating our staff to breakfast. Jeff and Darlene Bearinger founded this school and left such a legacy behind. Our center has continued to grow on the love and inspiration they left behind. We are grateful to still have their precious grandbabies here with us.

Pre-K is getting ready for Christmas Today they had a blast making Gingerbread Men!!

Pics with Santa will be this Sunday November 29th!! Morgan Long Photography will be doing the photos...DCDA has no affiliation with this...she is only using our space. There will be traditional sitting on Santa’s lap photos from 9-1 then 1:30-3 there will be baking with Santa. It is $45 per setup!! There will be no reserved spots, you will be photographed in the order you arrive so she can accommodate everyone. 3-5 edited digital images sent via an online gallery!

Dahlonega Country Day Academy is proud to be a location accepting toys for tots this year! We have one box set up for any new, unwrapped toys that you would like to donate. We also have a special box placed here by Amanda Duckworth collecting unwrapped hot wheel cars in memory of her father that passed away from C.O.P.D. She will donate the hot wheels to toys for tots. ... Thank you for contributing to this wonderful foundation!
