Registration for Acting I is now open! This is a beginner's acting class perfect for those with just a little or even no theatre experience. The class runs for 5 weeks with 10 classes, with the 10th class being a showcase to show what the students have learned. The dates are:... Tuesday and Thursdays, January 5th through February 4th and all classes are 5:30p - 7:30p. As always, we will have strict protocol in place. Masks are required for both students and staff at all times and we will not be moving around the building during class. Hi everyone, Shelley here! I had the privilege of being invited to see a rehearsal of Living Room Cruise Lines by In the Box Theater! It was an absolute blast. It truly is a great, entertaining live show you can enjoy on your couch. The box full of goodies is SUCH a nice touch, but you can enjoy the show without it as well (I did)! It's also family friendly! And one box/ticket is good for the entire family. ... I laughed a lot and felt connected to my fellow audience members, despite being states away. I am pretty excited to share the Dallas Theater and Civic Center's NEW website!! In a season of feeling like everything is being cancelled, it is a really good day when we can show off all our hard work! And the most exciting part is, while it looks very different, we are offering classes and a few super fun interactive shows! Thank you to my fantastic web developer, Jason McCrary, for always taking my "all over place" vision and giving it life. A super big shout out to Jacob Tanner for his incredible photography.
