Halloween is over, but Day of the Dead celebrations continue! Ms. Cholovich’s Theatre Arts classes spent a day researching and designing their own Día de Muerto...s calaveras on paper - then were surprised today with face paint and stage make up (courtesy of a grant from the Dalton Education Foundation) to bring their creations to life! Many thanks to the DEF for your continued support of the arts in our schools and to the DMS admin team for giving us the thumbs-up to get a little messy today!

Congratulations to Dr. Kit Carpenter for being named the Tom Jones Educator of the Year! The award was announced during halftime of tonight's Dalton High School... football game. Dr. Carpenter is a teacher in the Dalton Alternative Education Program (DAEP) and the D3 Virtual Academy. He will receive a $3,000 check, and DAEP will receive an additional $1,000 grant.
