Attaching a deck/ porch to a brick house has its challenges. Using @boisecascade LVL beam as a ledger gives us the opportunity to spread support posts away from basement doors and windows. This walkout basement will open up to a new pool so the front support post spacing is also key. We’ve got a a good start on this project !

Dig Day - now that we have the pool permit In hand ( 5 months ) we get to play in the dirt. Tight backyards can get cramped quickly. We’ve tried to utilize every square inch of this small but (soon to be ) sweet backyard ! #porch #deck #pool #patio

When we #design and #build #projects there is an 80/20 rule. You may ask what does that mean? Well most project we can swing in our wheel house. Some may say cookie cutter, profitable ...etc. The others are what we call #showstoppers! It’s the project that has all the right features and steps into an uncomfortable zone at times. And you say we got this! All we can say is that we are #blessed by our #team. What do I mean... well if we cant #imagine it or design it than we are typical, if we cant build that design that it’s just a pretty picture. So in essence is a #balance of sorts. Stopped by this job yesterday to take a few completed photos. Our client said before you leave , I want you to know that what you guys designed/built gives us new pride in our home and backyard - we love to spend time with friends and family out here and it’s a real extension of our home . That’s comment alone gives me energy to do what we do - for the next 6 months. We would agree that now the backyard living matches the interior living. It’s been awhile since we last posted. Wanted to show some progress on this complete transformation. The Master bedroom extension / porch turned out fantastic, love the open 26’ span between post that gives a nice clear view to the new pool and patio. Still lots to do #Staytuned @decksouth

Today’s featured #design is a #poolside transformation: #TheWishlist The client was looking to update their #deck and add a watertight system below. Extend a covered area above with @struxureoutdoor . The client lives behind a #golf course so it was important to be able to see players from the upper deck. Summer Bliss- Today’s featured project is a #Deck #Porch and #pool upgrade. The #Wishlist was to change the flow of this #Outdoorliving space and add a new #spa and pool. The elevation of this yard allowed for a cool flow that we tiered to the lower lounge area. The porch features a new #fireplace and TV and #dining space. The lower level was all for the #relaxation and #entertainment. We added a natural stone #diving board and #tanning ledge. See more @decksouth @ Marietta, Georgia
