An old family friend of mine was kind enough to give me a much needed bench vice. It had a decades of grease and grime built up which benefited from a good clean and DIY refinishing. It's not PPF, paint correction or a coating project but I know some of my people are into this stuff

Something a little different for a change Found a listing on Craigslist for this amp close by. When I went by to check it out it was nice except for how gross it was. Given my profession is working on fine automobiles (including detailing some really sensitive surfaces), when I saw how gross the amp was I wasn't turned off. I made him a reasonable offer and he accepted it. But before taking it home I felt compelled to give it a proper cleaning. The process:... Remove loose stuff with compressed air and a gentle boar's hair brush (yeah...there was rat crap in there **BARF**). Clean all vinyl with quality vinyl cleaner coupled with a horse hair brush. Wipe away the nasty slurry of junk with a microfiber towel. Follow up the vinyl cleaning with an ISO/distilled water mix to ensure no residue is left behind to which dust will easily stick to. Final light flush with distilled water on a mf towel.
