Diamondback family, we have been getting some questions on how to gain access to the base for graduation. Our graduation is being held at the National Infantry Museum which is located off Fort Benning. Fort Benning passes are not required for the National Infantry Museum. For those of you that are picking up your Soldiers following graduation, you do not require any pass as your Soldiers will be at the National Infantry Museum. Please feel free to message this page if you have any questions!

Diamondback family, we want to clear the air for graduation. Graduation will occur on 16 December 2020 at 10:00 AM. It will be conducted at the National Infantry Museum located just outside Fort Benning. The graduation will be live streamed on the National Infantry Museums Facebook page. After graduation is complete, your Soldiers will be placed on leave. The graduation is still closed to visitors at this time. For those that are picking up your Soldiers after graduation, the pick up location will be at the National Infantry Museum. Unfortunately not spectators will be permitted to view graduation in person. More to follow as we close in on graduation!

Ran our final, timed 5-miler this morning and subsequently recognized some achievements within the Company. Congratulations to PVT Marshall of 3rd Platoon for the fastest time. He clocked in at 31:04, which is just over a 6 minute per mile pace for 5 miles. Well done. Additionally, the Battalion recognized one nominee from each Platoon to receive Battalion coins. These trainees were selected by their peers and Cadre for various reasons depending on the Platoon, with achieve...ments ranging from most improved, to overcoming adversity, high performance and reliability, to dedication and discipline. Well done to all. From left to right: PVT Bender (1st PLT), PFC Eubanks (2nd PLT), PVT Marron (3rd PLT), PVT Wood (4th PLT). 1-50 Infantry Regiment (OSUT)

HAPPY THANKSGIVING! The Holiday Season can be especially tough on military families. For many of our trainees and their loved ones, this Thanksgiving will be the first of too many special occasions spent apart. Over many years in the service, it never really gets any easier to miss out on birthdays, holidays, births, and the list goes on. Our Company would like to take a minute to recognize this aspect of the sacrifice these men have accepted by taking up the crossed rifles ...of the Infantry. While they may be apart from family and loved ones, the greatest comfort is that they always have their brothers to their left and right. We celebrated our Thanksgiving a little early today (got that lunch time slot ). The Drill Sergeants and Cadre served up some awesome food prepared by our DFAC, and the trainees enjoyed some seasonal decorations and a hearty meal. Although we know they’d love to have spent the day with you, we hope this provided a little consolation! 1-50 Infantry Regiment (OSUT) 1st Battalion, 50th Infantry OSUT
