We wanted to give all of our clients a quick heads up that Hospital Road will be partially closed from the 25th of January to the 29th! If you usually come to Dogwood from the Bypass, please remember to take the alternate route to Temple Avenue that leads to Hospital road. This will take a few extra minutes. So be sure to give yourself some more time! Last Day part 2: Dr. Stephenson -Dr. Stephenson is also multitalented. She has a wonderful bedside manner and a strong conviction for doing what is right for your pets. She is an Auburn fan through and through and will happily keep that on display. Please don’t let her quiet nature fool youshe is the other doctor in question that fights for who has the cutest puppy or kitten that day! Shelby, CVPM-Practice Manager / Owner-We can’t say enough about Shelby. She is our cheerle...ader, support system, problem solver, and the most amazing juggler of all things Dogwood. Most importantly she helps each and every one of us live up to the core values of our hospital and deliver the best possible care and service to all of our patients and clients. Dogwood is always at the forefront of her mind. She is a faithful friend, adores her family and lives for cruising and Disney. Do not, we repeat, do not underestimate her practical joke ability. Last day of employee appreciation... Kacie Petty- RVT -Kacie is gifted in many ways. She is a very kind soul, a talented technician with impeccable patient care skills and we are so lucky to have her. She’s very private but there’s one thing you should knowshe sings for fun but we all know what she’ll be a pro in her next life. Stephanie Weston technician assistant-Stephanie’s sarcasm and very quick wit keeps us all in stitches every day she’s here. She brings levity ...as well as the voice of reason on the hardest of days. She works very hard to improve her skills and is diligently working toward vet school. We firmly believe she will be well on her way very soon. She has a magic snake named Richard who can mysteriously disappear from his cage and hide anywhere he chooses in her home! Wanda Wilson-record keeping-Many of you already know how special Wanda is but we will tell you anyway. She has been at Dogwood for over 25 years! While you don’t always see her in the building she is usually busy behind the scenes maintaining our records department and keeping things in order. She loves her family, is a faithful and loyal supporter of our hospital and we have so much love and gratitude for her. If you can’t find her, not to worry. She is most likely at the casino! Jimmy Woodruff-technician assistant-Jimmy joined our team recently and what a wonderful addition. It seems as though he has always been here. He is patient, kind, helpful, quiet and handles the busiest of days with a positive attitude. There’s a winning smile behind that mask! He is the proud dad of a daughter named Mila who will no doubt keep him on his toes. #thedogwooddifference #dogwoodvet

Dogwood Veterinary Hospital & Laser Center 03.08.2020

Day 4 of Employee Appreciation !! Ansley Latham-technician assistant-Ansley is a staple here at Dogwood. She is gifted in many ways with both pets and their owners alike. She is an old soul with the biggest heart of anyone we know and we are so blessed to have her here. She is a proud mom of a baby girl named Brensley. One word of advice, never underestimate her practical joke abilities. She is on master level! Tracy Ledford-technician assistant-Tracy’s roots run deep.... She will always make sure things are done right and will always go the extra mile for your pets. She has worked hard to advance her skills over the years and we are very lucky to have her as part of our support team. Also, you will be hard pressed to find someone that is a bigger Walking Dead fan than she. We know what she’ll be doing in her next life! Claire Mitchum-CSR-Claire is just plain fabulous. She’s calm, cool and collected on the craziest of days. She has an innate ability to juggle everything that comes her way with a smile on her face. She takes on challenges with grace and determination. Mention Harry Potter and she will be your friend forever! Paul Mulligan-Bookkeeper extraordinaire-Thank goodness he is so good with numbers because there are a lot of us here. His client service skills are top notch. He is kind, compassionate, goes the extra mile and whatever you do, please ask him about his Golden Girls obsession! Shannon Pendleton- Shannon is our in-house training, protocol and keeping it all together guru. She is also an excellent technician, friend and manager in training. She is always calm and has the gift of explaining veterinary services to clients that can't be taught. We are happy and proud to have here at Dogwood!

Dogwood Veterinary Hospital & Laser Center 30.07.2020

Day 2.5 (we all appreciate Ashley :)) Ashley Gilpin-CSR-Ashley is steady and pragmatic. There is a quiet confidence about her that we all admire. She’s a Georgia Bulldog through and through but we’ll forgive her for that (*wink wink*)

Dogwood Veterinary Hospital & Laser Center 21.07.2020

Day 3 of Employee Appreciation !! Dr. Horsley- Dr. Horsley is our surgical guru. She is both brave, humble and a multitalented veterinarian. We would place our bets on Dr. Horsley on any given day in pro football trivia! Holli Jones-technician assistant-Holli is quiet, calm and consistently entertaining. She truly loves her patients and makes them all feel welcome. When she’s not at the beach she brings the beach to us with her personalized zoom backgrounds. Another fun ...factshe sings! I bet if you ask her she will oblige. Sydney Jones-technician-Sydney is our resident comedian. Her heart is big and her personality is even bigger. Her patient care and bedside manner is extraordinary. Her patients thank her every day for giving them a voice and we all love and admire her for that. Her super power is turning a lion into a purring kitten! Mandi Hornsby-CSR-Mandi keeps us all organized on our toes up front. She also loves camping and spending time with her children. Cleanliness is her superpower-no germs allowed here! Dr. Johnson- Dr. Johnson is thoughtful, thorough and rest assured she leaves no stone unturned. It is her life’s mission to have an impact and make a difference in this world and with everyone she meets. She lives life to the fullest. Traveling, scuba diving, fishing and Auburn football are just a few of her favorite things to do. Now, let’s talk about her superpower. Hula-hooping. Word on the street is there is a rematch with Dr. Horsley this year. Ask her about it next time you see her!
